Neurodiversity in the Workplace

  • Support neurodivergent colleagues to navigate the world of work, to understand what is expected of them, and to communicate effectively what they require to perform at their best

  • Reduce the need for performance improvement plans and HR involvement

Why it Matters:

 

  • It is estimated that 15-20% of the UK population are neurodivergent. The true figure is likely higher, as only medically diagnosed individuals will be included in the stated percentage. There is a high probability that neurodivergent colleagues are employed, or will at some point be employed, within your organisation

  • Neurodiversity takes many forms, and no two neurodivergent people are the same. However, there are some generally accepted strengths and challenges that tend to be associated with neurodiversity

  • Neurodivergent employees have the potential to be your organisation’s highest achievers/biggest assets, if they can be supported in the right way. In order to attract and retain this talent, your organisation will need inclusive policies, processes and, most importantly, culture

  • Misunderstandings between employers and neurodivergent employees can lead to stressful, costly, and potentially reputationally harmful HR and legal proceedings

How we do it:

 

  • Full-day (6 hours) or half-day (3 hours) workshops. Online or face-to-face

  • Workshops are interactive, and include information sharing, open-discussion, role-play/games, and recommendations

  • Optional follow-up after 6 months, to review changes that have been implemented and assist you with tweaking as required

  • Online materials for life-time reference

  • One-to-one or group coaching available for neurodivergent employees
